i'm thinking about getting the nology hotwires and also maybe the ngk or denso iridium plugs and i just wanted to see if anyone has done that combo with their sc'd tc. i was looking at the hks ignition products like the twin power ignition amplifiers, which worked really well for the supra guys, but i don't think they're available for the tc. the nology wires and iridium plugs would cost a little over $200, but if it's not gonna really help, i don't really wanna waste the money. other than the sc pulley, and waiting for the zpi intake, there's nothing really out there that i really want to do. guess i could do a crank pulley or flywheel, but i'd rather not mess with that stuff until i've squeezed all the power outta the sc as it is now. then, if it's still not what i want, then i'll go and do the crank pulley and flywheel. it's not that i don't wanna do that stuff-it's just that i'm worried about having problems with reliability, not to mention the cost of getting a flywheel done b/c if i do the flywheel, i'd also do the clutch.
hey man you and I seem to cross paths on our setups quite often, Im running the 9psi pulley on the SC as well and looking for direction down the road. But didnt we get upgraded plugs in the SC kit? The dealer did mine but I think I remember that being part of the deal, iridiums even...
Anyways, check out a optima yellow or red top, I tossed one in last week and lower rpms feel more responcive, maybe the nology hotwires would be the last step in a upgraded battery/grouding kit combo setup.

yeah-we do cross paths frequently with the stuff we get. how's ur car runing? i have the redtop battery , ground kit, volt stabilizer, and an upgraded big 3. i was told the the plugs from the sc kit are 1 step colder, but they weren't iridium. figured that i might as well go with iridiums if i'm gonna get the hotwires.
Nice! I love my setup, I've got about 300 miles on the SC 9psi, aw header, catback, cai, etc. cant drive it too much in wisconsin this time of year...
Which voltage stabalizer did you go with? For me its been one of those things I've been eyeing for a while but never really found a solution I loved.

i have the pivot raizin volt stabilizer. on my last tc i had the weapon r ignition equalizer, but after it got totaled, i forgot to take the thing off, so it got taken with the car. i should've done a header before i got the sc installed. now it's a pain in the a$$ to find someone to install because the alternator has to come off. the pivot is pretty good, when i had it with the ignition equalizer and 4ga ground wires, the car def felt smoother. i'm gonna order the nology hot wires, go with denso iridiums, and maybe get the ignition equalizer again. i've also been waiting for the zpi intake to become available-didn't wanna have to cut an injen or one of the other intakes that are out. we have the same CC catback as well, with the borla muffler? the dezod guy has the blitz nur spec, and that sounds awesome. that's gonna be something i'm gonna get eventually. don't get me wrong, the borla sounds nice, but the blitz sounds friggin sweet. i also love the way the remus exhausts/mufflers sound.
ooo, yeah definetly shouldve done the header first, but I thought I read some people were able to do it by removing the radiator fans? That might be easier..
I like the CC catback it sounds great but its just plain mean loud when you get on it. I have a 30" magnaflow resonator that should make everything sound nice when that goes on.
The iridiums, hotwires and volt stabalizer setup is tempting but Im leaning towards the G I need to save up in order to get the fuel management right. The car runs fine now but smells extremley rich and I think theres decent HP to be had by leaning it out and adjusting timing.

Check out your PDF files for the schematics on the scion tC. If you don't have them. I forgot the web site to get them and I apologize. But anywho. The scion tC already comes with Denzo or NGK iridium spark plugs.
So unless you were going to go hotter or colder plugs it really isn't worth it.

i was planning on getting a 1 step colder plug. after i do the ignition stuff, intake, and eventually header, i'll probably get the unichip. i just don't want to get that until everything else is already setup because i'd probably have to retune each time i added something. the header issue was just me being stupid and thinking that i wouldn't care if i didn't get it. now that i don't have it, i'm extremely ____ed off at myself for not getting it first. i'm loving the mmw header. that thing just looks soooo nice. the people who installed it after the sc was in already had to take the alternator out i believe. pain in the ___ installation, scion won't do the install for me. there's one dealership by me that's been installing intakes, headers, etc etc and not voiding out ur powertrain. even they don't want to mess with moving the alternator, so i'm kinda stuck right now.
