Same... looks like it only works on boost, daily driving it is closed...Would be kinda cool to do a dual setup with a bypass and an open air with this baby!

Drill out the side for say a 1/2" line so when daily driving or cruising, it would still be bypassing air. Then under WOT or having fun it would open and sound killer

I dont know how well 2 valves would work on a draw through setup..

I know it works on blow through setups..RippMods does this on some of their cars.

Sorry was not clear, juse use the one valve with a custom side exit... Basically will function like a resirc when daily driving, get on it and the big valve opens and sweet music comes out!

why would you want the big valve open? im not following how this works, on a recirc, it reroutes some of the boost between gear shifts to the intake, so how would this be like a recirc? im confused on this one.

The secondary valve on the outside is shut while daily driving, the main valve is open. Basically it does not let any air out at all like this. Then when under throttle / boost the large outside valve opens as well as the inside to vent pressure. If you cut the side and plumbed in barb fitting or whatever, then while crusing around daily driving off boost, the outside valve will be closed, the inside valve open and it would recirc the air

recirc the air into what? the throttle? or would you need to run it to the intake piping.

looks to me like it just works like the BOV does but to keep the charge in the pipe under low psi. so when you barely tap the pedal, the BOV will open do to the vacuum change but the tension of the spring in the antistall keeps that low pressure boost from escaping. but if you rev to get to a certain pressure in the pipe and let go, the BOV opens and the pressure is high enough to open the antistall as well. basically a two valve BOV, in audio terms a crossover for low pass and high pass, but for air.

11psi --------
/ turbo spooled up
/
X psi------------------------------------------------
----------- /
/ \ /
/ \ /
/ pedal tap \ /
0 psi ------/ \--------/

(grrrr this is supposed to be a graph but doesn't look right when i post it)

at X psi the antistall valve opens only when the BOV opens to apply pressure to it.

That's how I see it on how it works.

You pretty much got it, now when the outside valve is closed under vac / normal driving then you could tap the side of the valve to release air back into the intake trac so you will not have any idle issues or stalling but get the killer sound of a bov! Also under partial load were it is venting open air, your not recircing heated air back to be heated even more... Anyways just an idea!

Yeah, I can't wait to finish up ordering with Toyomoto and getting it on. Did you read about the 12lb nst pulley I'm getting put on as well

I don't see any reason for this not to work. It seems to be a cheap alternative to the recirculation kits. The only problem with these cars is at idle and low boost really so this seems to fix both for a bov.
