Chris - before or after you had the valve body upgrade did u ever have a problem loosing boost on the 1-2 shift. When mine shifts from 1-2 it goes to almost 6600 rpm and i loose boost - only did it once or twice - im afraid to really w0t while shifting with the power im making as the tranny hates it but the 1 or 2 times i tried it it completely lost boost on the 1-2 shift.

I never really had that problem while shifting between gears. I mean when I shift through gears I acually see mabey a pound or two boost spike on the gauge. But I never seen it drop before so thats an interesting point. when the car does this does it fall foward like its losing all it power?? Mabey its somthing in the map?? What the a/f's do?

Hey chris - so i fixed the boost loss between gears turns out that part of the map was WAY to rich - minning out my wideband rich haha - so with that fixed it still slips if i dont let off during the shifs - has the valve body completely corrected this? And also how has your tranny been holding up? debating if i should just do the valve body or wait to do the clutch packs also - im really not too worried about the torque converter at this point as im not too considered with a higher stall, etc..
Thendawg,
Glad to hear that you fixed your boost problem!!!
The valve body has only eliminated some of the slipping but deffently not all of it. I still have to lift just a bit to get the car to shift just like you. The trans is still holding up fine and I have had any issues yet.
I have been thinking about it and I want to be able to go WOT the whole way and have the trans shift. So in a couple months I may be upgrading the clutch packs so if I do that I will deffently do a DIY on that!!

id like to see someone do the clutch packs themselves - i wonder how difficult it really is. As for the slipping well i foudn out whats going on - when i go through first my tires are still spinning at redline - soooo when i let off to shift than get back on it it goes back to first at like 5.5k lol - yea guess i just need better tires
and pwee - to be honest i like having the auto - i dirve alot for work and my commute is a _____ so id rather build my auto
I wonder how well the stock torque converter would hold up with clutch packs and a valve body. Not really concerned about a higher stall - i can already make 4-5 psi at a 25-2700rpm launch with stock torque converter lol

yea i understand your point but after reading so much on boosting a auto. Boosting a auto it just seems you spend more cash and there is more teeth grinding in hoping the trans doesnt start to fuuuhhh up after it all.. dont get me wrong i want to boost my auto but i dont have more cash to spend on a vavle body and all that other good stuff for myself to not feel like the trans is going to get mess up you know if i did i would...
