Default Base idle adjustment on AUTO HELP!!!

Does anyone know if and how to adjust the base idle on the autos?
Is there a way to raise it a touch, as when i out it into gear, the car stalls, also when i coast upto traffic.

This started occuring when i fitted my intercooler. Im thinking the extra pipework and route the air has to take is creating drag and starving the engine of air.

Let me know you thoughts.

Same way on both manual and auto there is a small set screw on the tb that is glued. You will have to break the glue then you will be able to adjust your idle.

is it the adjuster screw that on the same side as the throttle cable of the TB? its the one which you can adjust so that the butter fly/cable rotating arm doesnt return as far back?

or is it another youre thinking of?

i know the TPS is opposite the cable, but theres another housing on the adjacent side, looks like the idle control valve, is that correct, and is there anything to adjust there?

there is on mine

you see the grub screw right next to the cable, which had some yellow paint on it, is that the adjustment?

Also, is that the idle control valve to the left of the TB or a stepper motor?

who changed yours to cable? that is a adjustment but look and see if you can find a inset screw anywhere else should be a flat head, if not use the one with the paint.

mine not a tC thats probably why. It uses the same 2AZFE and i assumed your tC used the same mechanisms as mine.

I will look for that screw. Thanks

The tC has a drive by wire system, so no cable on ours. It will most likely be different on anything before the tC using the 2AZFE
