okay so im getting a kit soon but my question is, if i have a colair intake on right now, and threw out the stock airbox, will scion charge me for an airbox when they install the s/c cuz it only comes with the bottom of the airbox

 

You NEED a stock air box....if not Toyota most likely will charge you for a new airbox, which is going to cost $$$.. so find a stock box or buy one from someone on SL

 

Also, what yeat is your car...because if its on 07-08.. i believe that S/C kit comes with a new air box....

I believe there is an air box that come's with your S/C kit...

 

now that u mentioned it i think so too, and that was the wholke reasoning to making it cost a bit more cuz it came with a new airbox because the 06 one uses a different maf

 

you better hope it comes with another stock air box, like sciondriver said... it will cost $$$ from the dealer...

 

i have the 06 and that kit oesnt come with a airbox just comes with a new top lid for the air box.. i also had a injen intake on and when they were installing my S/C they told me i had to get another air box or they were gonna charge me for a new one so i went on here and found someone that will trade me there air box for my cold air and then took it to scion and they put it in...a new air box is like 300 something dollars i think.

 

yeah, a new airbox costs under roughly $600 dollars for a new one.

or you could just modify your intake to work with the supercharger, but you won't have a warranty.
