Default Blow by

I recently did some drag racing and popped into second from the top of third. My rpm popped into 7300rpms for a second. Everything seems fine. So I pull my dip stick and feel very little air blowing out. I also take off my oil cap and feel air puffing out.

My question is some clear air puffing out is normal eh?

So your saying if pull the iol cap off while the engine is running there should be no air what so ever coming out??

I whatevered you because rather than answering my question you chose to bad mouth my kit. If anything happened to my car It was my fault not the kits fault.

Please tell me where I was knocking YOUR CAR and YOUR KIT. I was knocking it b/c this is the 2nd report of blow by from Turbonetics. So in a sense I am knocking T-Netics.

Call me a dick again dude....go ahead ..... oh yeah you edited it...good job.

If she is puffing a fair amount and you bounced her up around 7300, I put money on it that you cracked one or more ring lands. Our pistons suck man... sorry .. The car will run, but will be down on power. Also it will have a lumpy idle when you first start it. Do a compression test. I bet 1 or more pistons are under 100 psi.

Kill the messenger syndrome I guess. Edited it because I did not mean it. It just seemed like you were fishing when you asked me what kit I had before answering the question. I'm just parenoid I guess. Sorry.

Dont sweat the small ish man. Of course your paranoid, I can understand bro. Just do the tests and take Jer's comment into consideration. HOPEFULLY its not too too bad.

And as for me asking which kit, I was curious because Nu_ERA had the same problem and he had T-Netics as well.

Well I do hope you can get this fixed. Its never fun to see a boosted tC injured!
I'll say a prayer to the turbo gods for you today

Wow bro this you did the same thing as I did. The blow by on mine is pretty bad and is burning a good amount of oil. Advice to you, don't drive it or if you do make sure you get the test done. Mine ended up being a crushed ring landing. Which is why I am rebuilding the car. Like Garage 1217 (jeremy) said the pistons are the weakest link the engine followed by the rods. Hope all works out for you. Any questions let me know being we have the same F**ked up situation on our hands. BTW how many miles were on your car and how many pounds of boost were you running? Were you still running rich or did you tune it??

I'm curious now, im not boosted or anything but when i take the oil cap off i get puffing of air coming out also, so whats the deal with that. Its been like that for atleast the past 20000 miles. I havent notice any power loss or anything.

ah bro if you lived in AZ man I would do both a compression test and a cylinder leak down test at school for you today.

I BELIEVE you can rent a compression tester at pep boyz. I am not so certain about that.
