Default BLOW THRU MAF questions HELP

ok so i need ptuning or some other experienced experts help. i am building my new turbo setup as we speak.....i want a blow thru but right now it will be untuned at 5psi...my question is will the ecu handle the blowthru setup as it would regularly or should i stick to regular maf setup and have stalling issues

With a blow thru setup at 5 psi, the ecu would be able to compensate to some extent but it wont be perfect... I would only suggest this setup with an upgraded fuel pump however.

nothing for the turbo, long explination but beasically if you want to vent your bov to the atmosphere without worrying about your car stalling sometimes, then u want a blow thru setup, if not your car will stall because the maff is reading a certain amount of ari coming in but then u blow it off and the engine never gets it....so it stalls

So do basic turbo kits run a blow thru setup? And isnt that a recirculated bov or is that the wastegate..

all kits come with out a blow thru setup, and with vented bov except for turbonetics, and the wastegate is o whole different topic

not necessarily, a big chunk is delt with by proper tuning. With good tuning you will rarely see any stalling issues.......it still can and does happen but its rare. iv stalled 1 time so far this month......2times last month....with better tuning i prolly wouldnt see it as often

To my knowledge there may be only one blow thru setup on the market... Every other kit comes with a draw thru such as Dezod, greddy, turbonetics etc... There are several advantages to blow thru... 1st and most common reason is being able to VTA without additional tuning, 2nd the MAF is able to make fuel trim adjustments due to the added charge temp. lastely you dont have to worry about limiting the size of you intake pipe or even run a filter with a blow thru setup which will improve top end and spool time.

Just adding the walbro 255 will richen the afr in all rpm and throttle % points.... And the added pressure and volume will make the injectors run more efficiently by balancing the fuel pressure running thru the rail

Im interested in this. But could you just use a prexisting turbo kit and redo the placement of the BOV and MAF to have a Blow thru set-up and be fine without the stallign as long as you get a retune?

Send me your charge pipe and ill weld the flange up for you... When reinstalled just double check the afr and if it doesnt lean out youre good to go... Retuning is not necessary. I have modified a couple kits to this setup without any ill effects but this depends on how much boost ure running and whether youre using a MAP sensor...

Depending on the size of your turbo, at 5 psi you should be well within the safe line with stock injectors... I would just do the fuel pump as an added safety net...
