Blown turbo prevention?
I have a 06 tc with a zip stage 0 on my second turbo first one blew that came with the kit and it ended up being a eBay knock off so i bought another evo3 big 16g and my ead gasket blew and while working on that i noticed that it had oil on the inside of the j pipe thing an the underside was all funky i don't have a turbo timer yet but I'm about to buy one but is there anything eles that i can do to prevent this from happening the turbo i have now is less than a year old and has not even 3500 miles on it any input is apreacated
i ran that turbo for a year no problem and other people running the same "knock off turbo" its what came with the zpi kits..but show us some pictures of your bay. could be how your turbo is clocked is causing the turbo not to drain properly and your choking it with oil.
It wAs perfectly STright up and down the only thing i can think of is the drain line was a little long and i have the whole car taken apart right now and when i sent the original turbo i had they said there was nothing they could do with it cuz it was a knock off but the one i have now is still under warrantee and not exactt Shure what a retractor is.... Is it like a oil restrictor
