Default to boost an auto or not to boost?

yeah as stated, i wanted your guys opinion. it is really worth it to boost an auto tc with all the extra stuff you will have to buy like a tranny cooler. Im thinking of getting boosted but now sure if it's really for my auto. i have bigger rims and subs in the back that give more weight to the car. Also, i dont wanna spend like thousands of dollars if i cant even beat most cars. what do you guys think?

i think it depends what you like to do.

I'm going to say sure, if you don't race in any way shape or form except drag.

if you do anything that involves turning the wheel, like actual racing, such as autocross or track, Im going to say no. why? im sure an auto tranny can take straight up horsepower through the gears in a drag race. but there is a lot more strain on it in a track-like environment where power fluctuates, instead of remaining linear. lots of gear shifting that it wont be happy with, with extra power. i dont think the internals will hold up.

It all depends on how many headaches and how much money you want to spend. Is it worth it to boost an auto...in my opnion its worth it on any car, just dpeneds on the personand what they want to do. But boostin an auto your looking at minimum of $3500.

Definitely learn to do things on your own so you can try and diagnose problems you WILL have. It'll be fun though and its worth it in my opinion too! The tranny cooler is a cheap mod but can be a challenge to install. Its real straight forward just time consuming and some of the connections are in tight spots so expect to see some blood. My clothes and hands were covered in it... Keep the oil clean and plentiful and use common sense in upgrading what you think needs to be in order to handle your turbo.
