ok guys i have boost creep!

im running open dump
and a 2.5 inch straight thru exhaust
watsegate spring is 10psi and im hitting 13 psi

dont say of restrict the exhuast cuz i tried putting stock muffle ron and still 13 psi this is only in 4th and 5th gear hardly in 3rd...

my question for you guys is who else has htis and another question is should i just get a 7 psi spring and hope it creeps to no more than 11 psi

 

what color spring and what brand wastegate...also what size wastegate

 

one more thing, whats the turbo specs

 

boost creep is a good thing just tune for it.. also running just through wastegate or with boost controller?

 

its a large yellow i ordered from andrew tech its a 10psi..

38mm gate and a ebay to4e turbo...

ive never had this issue when i had a cast manifold

would be amazing if i had the fueling for it to be tuned out lol 550cc stock pump =[

 

Is it an ebay waste gate? I would say because ebay turbo and megan manifold. Change waste gate for a TiAL or turbosmart.

 

your manifold prolly flow better causing your turbo to spin more.. a bigger wastegate would control boost better on low boost.. i say upgrade the fueling or go with a softer spring

 

if the wastegate is defective, yes it should be changed.. but I had Tial 38mm and it creeped a lot, switched to 44mm and its doesnt creep as much..

 

would be an amazing idea if the wastegate actually was defective! but it aint it opens and flows just fine


yea this mani flows soo much more than the cast iron

problem wit me gettinga bigger gate is the pipe form the manifold to gate is still 38mm so i dont asee a benifit in getting a 44mm

im going to try a softer spring but before that im going to try to adjust the timing cureve some im pulling about 6degrees at 10psi maybe thats too much reatrd and is spooling that puppy up
