A couple updates with this years plans - keeping it simple so I can focus on racing

I have been on E85 since last year on the new fuel setup and plan on keeping it for this year. ID1000CC, Fuelab FPR, GE Rail, -6 Feed/Return, Bosch 044 Inline, Walbro 255 Intank. 85PSI base fuel pressure. Both pumps hardwired.

I am fabricating a completely new and full exhaust to keep my options open as far as what classes I can race in.
Currently I have a 2.5" to 3" downpipe that exits in front of the front passenger tire.
I am currently working on a full 3" downpipe and exhaust with a huge magnaflow in the back.
Full Vband and Stainless (mostly 316L) - how I do everything.

I got a hold of a 2009 tC cylinder head with 7K miles. It is being ported, polished and installed.
(My 07 head and a oem unpainted VC will be for sale shortly)

The upper radiator hose will be -16 AN Steel Braided Hose.

The engine bay will be getting a new color scheme.

I am trying to pick up an AEM Tru-Boost.. I want to try it out. Im currently running a Hallman MBC

Once all of the above is done I will be tuning for around 25 PSI (fuel willing) and hitting the track immediately

i think he was wondering if a valve caused the damage.

looks like some serious detonation. sux a bunch man. look on the bright side though, now you have the perfect excuse to get some aftermarket sleeves.

looks like part of the sleeve and hg melted. never seen it so localized like that before. almost like someone touched it witha plazma torch. how does the head look in that spot? I think Cory was selling his sleeves in the ppc, might hit him up and see if he still has em. not sure thats repairable with just sleeves, prolly need a little filling in with some aluminum and deck it.

It is very odd indeed. I cannot pinpoint the cause.
It went through 2 of the 3 headgasket layers. The head was not affected at all.

Im waiting for a message back from Cory. I dont see how sleeves would not repair that. The damage is isolated to the top of the sleeve.

Not sure if I am going to sleeve it or source another shortblock at this point
