I'm at 252 and I just want MORE!

I'm shooting for 300 street and 350 track until I build.
Just bottom end for me (pistons, rod, bearings) and then 350 street and 400-450 track.

Nothing like what Jeff is doing. that thing is a BEAST!
And it's so CLEAN to! I need a new dump tube!
well if thats refering to me... i do enjoy my car which is why im keeping it and progressing with it... but i still feel that you have to be cogniscent of its limitations as a front wheel drive, non LSD, N/A car that we decided to turbo and build. i love the be-jeezes out of my set up and when ive had it running well its been a dream (as in a sti, evo, and a c5 corvette all left in the dust.) but what i DONT want is my daily driver, my STREET car (because i think thats what 90% of us use it as) to become unmanageable. i dont want to car to break lose in the city and kill someone if someone else drives it or if i have a moment of not paying attention. i want something fun, that i can control.

im a 59 yr old in a 19 yr olds body dude.

i just think you gotta have a clear picture of what a car can do, and build accordingly.

if the tc was AWD id probably say 400 is fine but 450 is crazy. same thing goes for rwd.

when you're done. I want a nice camera (preferably HD) and some nice videos to go along with this. You really should showcase all the work that has been done. I think you and the car deserves it. And my eyes deserve it after seeing some poor quality videos on streetfire.

When you get enough experience points, and you level up, take some skill points and put some ranks into "driver mods".

Translation for the FFX players: When you get enough JDM spheres, work your way toward "mad shiftin' skillz" attribute sphere. Then you'll be able to control any beast out there.

Sorry man, couldn't resist. But really, control comes from temperment and experience. The older you get, the better you can learn to control your hands and feet.

^ but see you thats where you are wrong. there are physical limitations on everything... and honestly if you dont see/know that by 27 years of age you need to take some experience points group them with your skill points and put them you know where.

sorry man couldn't resist.

for example i was driving home the otherday and i live on windy back roads, i was going around a curve and my front tires broke loose (because you lose traction you lose steering) and almost sent me into a tree (had it not been for my incredible control of my hands and feet) that wouldnt have happened awd at 300+ and a rwd would have put me right into the middle of tokyo drift so i know i would have been good.

again IMHO everything has a limit. i was curious as to what 318, and paul, shoot how about turbo todd??? what THEY think it is, because they have the experience with the car we are talking about.

*EDITED*

I will agree cars have limits, but the biggest limit is just the driver. Plain and simple.

That's all I was trying to say...and be a smart a** at the same time. Really.

300-330whp is surely different then 250whp - the lag gets reduced and its just all around more fun

^ yup

fair enough and i agree.

but anyways... 318 what are you doing for your traction situation... are you going to run streets or are you going to throw some drags on the car at all times... i dont see how you can possibly expect to hook up

Jeff,
I think you said you already front/rear sways and I believe a full cage as well, correct?
do you have an LSD, or any plans for one? And like Enrique said, what sort of tires you gonna be running for street, as I'm sure your slapping on slicks or DRs for the track.

I think you should do a tranny swap for something with 6 gears. Even with LSD, thats crazy horsepower for our tranny.

One more thing about getting the power to the ground:
Does the AEM EMS do launch controll? Like a dual stage?

It doesnt seem like Jeff skips any steps or leaves anything untouched. I'm sure he will find a way to hook that beast up. If honda's can do it a tC can do it.
