Wow, great work 318. When do you plan to have it completely done?

Increasing the redline? Any more pics of the head, specifically the valve train?

Jeff has our AEM and valve train w/ valves. I would expect no less than 7300 RPMS from him.

Anyone know how much power the tC that ran 10.5 was putting down?

What is your overall objective with this car Jeff?

i dont mean to threadjack BUT

paul, i read earlier in this thread (maybe another) that someone said anything more than 400 and the car cant really be enjoyed... in your opinion whats the line between strictly race car and good, fun street car that tears up the track (speaking strictly in hp)

AND do you think that 318 has crossed that line?

In all honesty and IMHO, 350whp is a GREAT street car, and over that is just crazy on the streets. I like to say 400whp + is a track only car........

Personally, I am only seeking 450-500whp myself. I will leave the 500+ numbers for my RWD car.

I'm thinking about the same numbers for me. 500 might even be too much to be drivable imo.

... yea because i was on the phone with Dezod the other day trying to get my situation figured out and i feel like 400 is about where i want to be...

im actually having my car diagnosed and fixed by a local tuner all next week. but if they suggest building the motor i wanted an idea of whats a good goal to shoot for without making the car undriveable. so i have been thinking parts lately... ive been on dezod.com like its my HOMEPAGE over the past week lol (by the way +1 for dezod, theyre great people) and wanted a realistic number to shoot for.

IMO 500 is crazy. 400 is crazy. 300 in a tc is crazy. although everyone on this thread is 300+ including myself

Enrique9876:
So are you saying you don't like driving your car at 300?
I'm at 252 and I just want MORE!

I'm shooting for 300 street and 350 track until I build.
Just bottom end for me (pistons, rod, bearings) and then 350 street and 400-450 track.

Nothing like what Jeff is doing. that thing is a BEAST!
And it's so CLEAN to! I need a new dump tube!
