So my car is running like crap it takes longer than usual to build boost and when the gauge finally reads it there is no power to come along with it. I can hear the wastegate open but no power what so ever. It also kind of stutters when under boost. Any ideas im gonna go check the vac lines and ic pipes. Any help would be appreciated

 

Sounds like your wastegate is stuck open. check to make sure it seals properly and check the lines.

 

i had a similar problem before,my car was showing 5 psi when it should of been showing 7, the car would nt go as fast as it should, it turned out bein a loose coopler where the outlet of the turbo was connecting to the ic pipe, fixed the problem , i was glad it was just that and not something major

Yes sure does sound like a boost leak make sure to check all you clamps on your ic piping and turbo

 

you have a wide band what are you air fuels when the problem is occurring

 

+1 on sounding like a boost leak. It sounds like one of your couplers/clamps has come loose. Go over all of them and double check them.

 

went over the hot side pipes tightened them down got to dark to do the cold side. topk her out still had the same problem

 

once i hit boost the afrs drop to 10.0 and dont move

 

i had the same problem it was a boost leak but mine was my bov it was open at idle so driving its stayed open go over all the couplers make sure they are tight and no tears then also tighten your bov

 

ill check the BOV tomorrow it shouldnt move at all right?

 

i wanna say boost leak as well....dont forget to check all vac lines just incase...you never know

 

move? dont quite know what u mean....but i take it u might, i HOPE its a greddy bov and so u can see the valve......tighten the screw up top and make sure u see the valve completely shut then give it two more spins and then secure it with the bolt....then go check all vac lines and couplers!

 

nope its a hks its held down with a snap ring

 

does it run fine out of boost?

 

Yup no problems out of boost afrs are normal

 

its a boost leak for sure. same thing happened to me when an intercooler pipe blew off. wait till daylight to check it over

 

you could also do a paint brush and lightly soapy water test on the couplers and fittings. just brush a little on it and check for bubbles

 

well tommorow will be a fun day of checking clamps

 

BUild a boost leak tester! When i had my dsm i used to use it 1 time a month!

You will be suprised what you will find! from cracked vacume hose's to loose couplers! I even had a leak in my IC on my eclipse!
