so i have only ever taken my turbo appart once before and i am pretty sure this is what the fins looked like but i have a few pictures for someone with more turbo experiance then me.

blown seals? why did you take it apart yourself why not sent it to a turbo rebuild place?

 

i ment i just took the covers off. the seals seem blown to me but im looking for a second opinion.

wheels look good brethren, from here anyways. looks worthy of a rebuild.

 

looks like it was making contact with the comp housing though. but wheel looks good.

 

How does the shaft feel? Is there any play? There should be a very slight amount but not much.

The wheel has had some contact with the housing, but in the pic you posted, it appears fine on the inducer and exducer blades of the wheel. I would assume the slight contact is from small shaft play...

syldrin those marks wouldnt be per chance were you wiped some oil out would it or is it scratch marks?

 

it could be i did run a paper towel through the housings trying to clean them up
