I was able to look up the bearing and shaft seal information:
TIMKEN # 222540 seal
6205-2RS (2) radial ball bearings

Anybody have tips / pictures on getting this stuff out of the stock shaft?

if you can, try to get the same kind of bearing (SEALED) but is rated at a higher rpm cause its alot better...
i had the same situation like almost 2 months ago where i found a clod of dirt inside the housing on my pulley side causing it to eat up my shaft and bearings..

just hope that its jus your bearings and not your shaft too. the shaft is the one that will bite you in the tush.

If you take the time to get those bearings replaced, do them a favor and install the grease fitting so you can keep them lubricated and help them last longer.
