CARB = California Air Resources Board

each state should have their own emissions laws.....so if you do buy something that is "carb" legal in NY, you'd have to check if it passes emissions in NY....

to date, there are no CARB legal Turbo kits.

Some reasons;

CARB testing process is a HUGE pain in the a$$. I think people have said the process takes at LEAST 2 years and then, CARB will probably just reject your application anyways OR it will have become obsolete by that time.

aen said, "Hey Mr_Meaty, is your turbo kit NARB legal?"
Mr_Meaty replies, "Yes, but only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays cause I have to clear my codes ever other day!"

not to mention the cost factor in becoming CARB legal.

well... for our platform, there are no currently legal turbo kits, as they all require the removal of at least one of the cats. matter of fact, there are very few aftermarket turbo kits available for *any* vehicle that are carb legal thanks to that little problem.
