CARB-legal?
greddy kit throws a cel, but mine went away for a while, then after retuning its came back. i also have the invidia spipe which throws the code, so in the end, just put ur girls picture in front of the cel. if ur lucky, when i took my eclipse they didnt see a light so didnt plug it in. :D
SRT-4 have no cat. The turbo itself lowers emmisions becuase it is reusing the wasted exhuast gas.
I have 2 other tunes, neither of which throw a CEL. The Turbo Toyotas kit does not throw a CEL with a proper tune.
those that do are usually form the deleted cat, and a proper anti-fouler should fix that.
Any recent SMOG shop will just plug in the OBD-II scanner. If you have a code, you will not pass, even if you cover the light! If you have no code, you will pass.
No after market turbo kit will ever apply for CARB approval because of costs.
Basically, as long as you don't live in Cali, don't throw a CEL, and the SMOG does not do visual (some do some don't) you should pass SMOG.
