As many of you know, we where the first to offer a full ported and built cylinder head for this application. We have always provided it with the following components:

REV Stainless +1mm OB intake and exhaust valves
REV Dual wound valve springs with titanium retainers
REV Seat locator for dual springs
Viton intake & exhaust valve seals
Bronze valve guides

The head gets cleaned, ported, ported, polished, valve job is performed, the head is then resurfaced on all mating areas to ensure a true deck surface. Lastly, the head is assembled and now will be shimmed accordingly provided that the customer supplies the cam they plan to use or purchases one from us at the time of the head service. This eliminates the step for you, saves you time and money plus ensures the professionals do the job for you 100% correct.

We have had a lot of response to offer the shimming, but now we have come to the table with the answer of yes! Yes we will offer it free of charge to you.

Would have saved you some time and effort for sure. Yev, I don't recall yours being ported, but just built.

 

Paul-Yup my head is just built and not ported.

Noticed that price for the head went up i guess that's why its shimmed now.

 

Actually not Yev. Cost of goods in the head went up plus abrasives did too.
