heres a good read here on scionlife

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...scion+warranty

you can modify most short ram available for the tC but u do need to cut it and some clamps to fit it. i would suggest looking in to AEM dry filter instead, to avoid any oil damaging the MAF sensor

TRD most likely will not honor the warranty if you modify the air intake. Seems like they're trying everything they can to make it difficult to have any warranty work performed on the supercharger.

You can modify some of the intakes already out there, but have heard that the air/fuel mixture gets thrown off because of all the turbulance it creates. The sensor has a hard time reading a proper air flow.

Garage1217 is currently working on a short ram kit designed specifically for supercharged tCs (no CAI though, and not sure it's necessary). ZPI has been working on one for quite some time, but have yet to hear any progress on it.

After having spoken with TRD, it is not TRD that is voiding the warranty. They have told me time and time again it is up to each individual dealer whether or not they honor the warranty. Once the dealer decides, TRD goes along with them.

that is correct
it is the judgement of the specific dealership who is looking at the vehicle
that will say Yay or Nay, not TRD itself
