i can't get both of em out. we have been using a pry bar on the driver side and then when we took the bolts off the bearing on the pass. side it doesn't seem like those even do anything

weird. the pass one was easy as hell
i just undid the bolts and pulled slightly and it came out.
the drivers side one takes a bit of finesse because you thin you'll break something. you won't.
also, NEVER pull on the axel itself. that's bad.

when we did my brothers clutch recently, we found that the dealership had banged in the axle too far when they replaced his tranny. The c-clip got jammed and the bearing got toasted sending crap into the tranny and basically toasting everything else. We had to cut off the axle to get it out. Thats a worst case scenario....

i'll cry if that's the case haha
i dunno what it is but there hasn't been a sinlge bolt or anything that has come off as easy as it should have... its a 2005 but i don't think 4 years should lock in any thing like that

as for the passenger side axle i found the 05-06 since they are older tend to rust-fuse the axle and "carriage" bracket together. you want to take out the two bolts (top side is a pain since you cant hardly see it, i suggest an open ended wrench and elbow grease) then take a sharp instrument to wedge inbetween them and pry them apart. a little persuasion may be in order in the form of a rubber mallet.
the driver side you will notice the notches on it, thats were you want to place your pry bar. try in one notch and rotate the axle to the next notch and pry there....repeat the process till you pop that sob out. that so far has been the easiest for me, however it may not seem like it....lol
btw make sure you have already taken that monster 32mm 12point axle nut off and lowered the whole wheel assembly.
good luck

i've tried 8 stores and a couple shops around me... and no one has a socket to get the nut off... so we're doing it with the whole hub on and just dropping everthing that it connects to so it is still free of motion. but i'll try the spinning it and prying it apart tomorrow. thanks for tips! i want to get this clutch on!!!

and to top it off... when we are trying to separate the bearing... it looks like it's welded together... did any of you have that problem? we're hitting it with a heat torch then going back at it now

eek. definitely don't hit it with a heat torch. That's a bad idea. I really think you need to get that 32mm nut off first before you precede in doing anything else. You may end up binding the axle jimmying around with it.
