The only way I can think of that might be somewhat safer and still run without the bypass, would be to gut the thermostat. I kno some of the honda guys do this, to semi regulate the flow of coolant. It would allow the coolant to circulate like its supposed to, it would just take longer to warm up, because it is constantly circulating. So you might be able to gut the thermostat, keep the casing in there, and run without the bypass.

the thermostat already has a bypass, these lines are not needed except for the heater and throttle body. youll need to cut a plate for the front line and cut/TIG the small feed from the main hose, or a piece of blocked off hose or to an external thermometer sensor ( to a gauge if you want one)

So now you guys think this will work? Im going to try it if the thermostat already has a bypass built in. How did you tune ur SAFC deathbyc4? Did you unplug the o2 sensor and lock it into open loop?
