Cracked energy poly mounts, now what?

Default Cracked energy poly mounts, now what?

Has anyone else managed to crack their energy poly engine mount inserts? My rear one has a big crack in it, it goes vertically straight down the middle from the metal bushing. Any other options available or should i just replace with another energy insert?

is it a surface crack or does it go all the way through?

Looks like the crack might be all the way through, but i'll have to pull out the mount and take a closer look.

The motor looks fine, still need to take the oil pump apart and take a look, but seems like it was a valve problem. Bearings are perfect, no play, waiting on stainless valves from dezod at the moment.

As long as the two pieces aren't coming out, they're pretty much doing the same thing as one solid piece.

yea the bushing is in there tight and it doesn't look like its going anywhere, guess i'll just leave it in there for now.

on a couple of cars iv seen those mounts have a crack that looked bad but as soon as you get that bastard off and take a closer look its just a surface crack.

x3. I agree. Replace it, send it back to the company so they can look at the problem and possibly make an improvement to the broken part so it may not happen again. If you sweep problems under the run, no one will ever know how to fix it.

well i'm not sure when/why it cracked, could have been when i dropped in the motor.
