Has anyone done a custom intake on the TC yet?

For a vague question, you get a vague answer.... and the answer is:

Yes

what constitutes custom intake? The intakes that come with turbo kits are custom if you ask me.

People have also cut up Injen and K&N intakes to fit the supercharger.

Someone on the boards has pieced together an intake that is very resistant to heat soak, but he's NA as far as I know.

Custom? Yes. NA? Yes...

But.... the Spectre PowerAdder piping is customizable - you can buy pieces in different lengths and angles so that it can fit pretty much anything. That's the piping that's very resistant to heatsoak.

I have exactly the same set up!! but my Umnitza heatshield doesnt have a logo on it.
Is yours fairly new? mine was one of the first run.

Looks good sounds good and I thought it was the only one

As far as I know it would work with both turbo and SC
What do you think?[/img]

I just put a 3" on my s/c but I don't have to worry about a maf sensor so I just bought a 90 degree mandrel bend and stuck a k&n on the end of it

Does the sound change any when you use a intake on the s/c set-up?

Depends on the filter you use. It was louder with the filter ZPI had on there but it's quite a bit quiter with the K&N I just put on.

Intake manifold? As in.. the stock airbox? The piping from the throttle body to the airbox or whatever else you have can be replaced with the Spectre PowerAdder piping that i'm using.

Celt - yes it's a newer run intake.

I haven't seen anyone make an intake manifold yet. I remember a post asking for interest, but I don't think it went anywhere. I think it would be a little pricey and the only people that I think would benefit are the people pushing high psi numbers.
