custom turbo-kit: MO-CO style

^ same thing as a zpi stage 0 kit untuned. as long as hes running low boost (sub 6 psi) his afr's should still stay within decent limits. Im guessing over time he will add on to this kit and make it a monster but for now, it will do the job! when its finished, i cant wait to see it in action....martin, you did fix the mani right?

I still say its risky even on low boost, if he doesnt have a boost gauge or afr gauge to keep it in check. He has no management and stock ecu is not designed to give rich afrs below 12:1:1.. i remembered a stock tc at WOT only having low 14 to high 13s afr, that what our ecu is tuned for..

narrow band doesnt do much just tell you if ur lean, rich or stioch.....wideband tells u exact numbers ...like my narrow band could say im lean...but idk how lean....unless i get a wideband..

yea wideband is a must when tunning...if ur tuner doesnt have one or u dont....RUN and NEVER come back...... but yea ran a narrow on the dsm cuz i had it tuned a lil rich so i used a narrow band just to know im still rich and if it happens to say lean...im ____ed

Man id really suggest doing a meth setup on it - i ran 5 psi untuned for about a week when it was 80-90 degrees here and on 91 octane id get a ping in higher gears so i ended up not driving it in boost - after the first week i added meth, my fic, and 440cc injectors, even befor ei started my street tune i ran it with just the meth engaging at 3 psi (controlled by my fic) and it ran MUCH smoother, a tad richer, and much safer - no knock counts on the ecu, no misfires, and no ping. Id highly recommend it if youre not tuning it right away as a little bit of safety - however im in no way saying it could replace a tune

FMIC > Meth
but, FMIC is not as effective when its 90 degrees out on a hot summer day! If your tune was done at 50 deg, when it gets hot out you will not run as smooth... Meth is a nice way to fix that problem.
