Default cylinder 1 misfire Help Please

I've been getting cel code p0301 a couple times a day for a while. I changed out the plugs which were pretty black. Since changing the plugs I have only had the code once. Why am I still getting it. Can a misfire do damage

do you have any smoke coming out of the tail pipe? if so, what color is it? how much boost are you applying? how long have you been running the kit? Are you getting any other codes?

whats your a/f ratio? Have a good tune? White smoke usually isn't a good thing (headgaskets) but this doesn't seem to be the case. More info please!

Default check your crankshaft/rods

ive seen this a couple times usually it pounds the plugs so you know its the problem, the crankshaft or the rods get warped a bit and it causes the pistons to hit the spark plugs and causes a missfire get it chacked out before it starts throwing off things like seals or whatnot just my opinion good luck seen this on ser sentras not tcs though just givin you my info

Dave, check your plugs. They are probably fouled out.

Gap is .044. Narrow it to .034 and make sure they are not carb'd up.

Just curious...I'm well aware of gapping plugs....but if I remember correctly...aren't the stock plugs in the tC a pre-gapped plug and changing that is a bad thing? I could understand if something moved or they had been replaced with a different type of plug than the stock ones...

the spark cannot travel the distance that was set, so it blows out before its able to ignite the fuel mixture
