Ok I just got a call back from Matt @ Caldwell Toyota and he told me $625 installed. So if thats not too far away for you this may be an option.

I would always recommend you go to a dealer to have the S/C installed. For one thing no matter what happens it's covered. If the dealer installs it then it is covered by the factory powertrain warranty not just the 1 year TRD parts only warranty. Personally would rather have that piece of mind over the few hundred dollors i would save by doing it myself. If a tuner shop installs it you still need a flash tool and they're probably going to charge you the same as the dealer would. Just my .02

thank you josh_trdsparks - that place is closer then the 2.45hr place. I am going to see what they say. I plan on getting the supercharger next year. Thanks for calling for me, I think that $625 is high but im positive the dealer I go do would have charged me something like that plus $350 extra for the supercharger. The dealer said that another person came in a few weeks ago saying they bought it from sparks and he told them he wouldnt install it either. Sounds like there are some dealers out there that care more then others about their customers - too bad I dont live closer to one of them.

sounds like Im going to take the drive and see them. If I got the supercharger installed via this dealer would my dealer have to honor the install under the warranty? (im guessing yes 100% but im just asking anyway)

yes they will have to. Any authorized scion/toyota dealer in the US has to honor warranty claims

Oh yeah. They have to honor the warranty 100%. If they don't or give you any problems call the regional office. Every Toyota dealership has a dealer agreement with Toyota and that would violate that agreement. So even if they don't want to warranty the S/C they really don't have a choice.
