Not trying to be a jerk or anything, Rob.. but to be fair - the kit you guys sell is only 10% of what you actually run. The manifold is similar but modded to have an external wastegate - why wasn't that included in the kit? Your BOV and piping is totally different as well.

I truly appreciate the dent you guys have put in the racing scene for Scions.. and I think you guys really know your stuff... but this kit leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not saying the kit can't make power, but the kit would definitely fair far better with an external wastegate, a better BOV, and a better intake.. especially for the price.

Cant beat Descendant's Pricing right now. I think its like 2995 for a basic kit.

That's a pretty honest and constructive criticism. Those are some factors that I would consider as putting an enthusiast on the fence about purchasing. Great kit for someone who enjoys that OEM look though.

Yes Sir...

All the components have a lifetime warranty with the exception of the Bulls Eye Power Turbocharger which comes with the manufactures 1 years warranty & the AEM FIC which also carries a 1 year warranty.

No offince taken bro, your right we only run several of the actual DESCENDANT Parts on the racecar but these are KEY components that allow us to make more power with our 2AZFE engines than anyone else and give us the ability to do what we do when we show up at the race track.

The DESCENDANT kit wasn't designed to be the FLASHY / BLING kit out there...it was built to deliver customers the BEST TURBOCHARING SOLUTION for a DAILY DRIVER thats intentions are 100K worth of milage and use.

Wastegates & BOV's can be upgraded if you want your car to sound COOL but I can promise you one thing they won't make an 8psi set up any faster.

^^ Very good response.

So basically the kit's audience is for those who want a practical turbo'd DD but who don't necessarily want/need to have practicality in upgrades. I understand now.. thanks!

DESCENDANT upgrades are available if the customer wants it just depends on what your looking for. For example, our stage 1 upgrade includes a cold air intake system, new stainless steel downpipe & a boost upgrade which gives customers a 40WHP gain! All depends on want you as the DRIVER wants.

Very nice! So what would a Descendant kit cost that would be comparable to a PTuning or Dezod kit? (Meaning upgraded intake, wastegate, bov, etc)?

It seems like some people are neglecting the fact the OP posted Dezod OR Descendant not PTUNING

The OP probably factored in the costs associated and narrowed down his choices to the 2 he mentioned.

With that being said Dezod is the way to go. Descendant's kit uses an internal wastegate and stock air box however their manifold looks pretty sweet and offer a "lifetime" warranty, i'm not sure what they're warrantying, I guess intercooler piping maybe injectors since the turbo and FIC are manufacturer warrantied for only 1 year.

Anyway, with the choices you mentioned Dezod FTW

the dezod kit has bigger hot side intercooler piping then goes to a smaller cold side piping.. to me that makes zero sense and usually is the other way around.
