Think whatever you want, this forum is a place to voice your opinion. My opinion is that we produce the best turbo kit out there and the record we set with our racing program back that up. You feel different...but to mock Chris & his family because you think your HARD...only makes you look like a child.
Just for the record I'm not making fun of World Racing and what they're about - I know that msg wasn't directed at me.

That being said - you need to be clear about your claims. The turbo kit you sell is not backed by a racing program. Only one part is "similar" to the 900whp monster.. and that's the manifold. It's not even the actual manifold.. because the one on the race car has a wastegate port.. and that's assuming everything else about the manifold is the same (tube thickness, flange thickness, etc).

Again I'll have to say I don't think your kit won't produce what you claim - I'm just stating it's not race-proven and it's not as "Valuable" when compared to other kits. As you said, this is a forum for which we can voice our opinions - so that's mine.

Nope, it barely runs too. Its doo doo brown, I call it the 'Turd Sled'. The muffler fell off a few days ago so it sounds like it could have something, but it doesn't.

who said anything about mocking a great man... i just said it was handed to him. which it was

what what you say about working hard... thats just a stupid comment. hundreds of peoplee bust there ___ in our scion community.whether its a company or the PEOPLE doing their own thing.
and for you to say your kit is the best.... come one... no way..

and again mocking chris and his family... i didn't say... read my post... it's easy to run with a company.. when it's already built....

mocking them, would be saying how bad they suck and don't know how to run a buisness.... but thats not the case is it... i've said before your kit is awesome and is a great starter kit. and even after the _____ing and bickering i still like your kit...but when you take little jabs at the other companies. it gets old.. and don't say you don't do it...

Wow don't see how you can say you have the best kit out there. I want proof! Wait how you going to provide that when you can't even provide dyno sheets showing your IM puts out a 25% increase in power? I bet ptuning come's out and post up proof of the power outcomes of there IM before we even see any from Descendant.

Look at the poll results...
That right there is exactly how the kits are ranked.

I dnt even know why this thread is still open...
All the information in this thread was covered in the thread of the link I posted.
Kinda pointless to have 2 threads with the same info if you ask me.

Not at all. Most of the moderators on here probably do not even know me. Why? I don't stir the pot (typically, unless it's to defend this brand whom signs my pay checks and supports my wife and daughter (soon to be)). I don't talk crap. All of my info is backed up with facts and is undeniable. I may present an argument, but I always have a tactful point to back it up with. I just do not come out and say "it's like this because it is". Simple as that. Take away what you want, but respect must be earned, not demanded.

Tact is a gift my friend.

I did not stab, jab, down-play, suggest or even negatively remark at all to you or your company. For the record, I happen to like Chris (your boss) and Tyler whom you used to work for you full time. The conflict seems to arise from your approach to the market, to this company and condescending attitude in general Rob.

What happen to Tyler anyway? I remember speaking to him before WR came to Nashville for TA and he said he was going. Then when they got there, I looked for him, and told he no longer worked for WR...

I still speak to Ty every now and then. I spoke to him a few weeks ago. He went back to school to pursue a degree. That's what he told me.

Just seemed like a rather abrupt move I guess. Oh well, good for him.

as much as i kept sitting back reading and wanting to not say something i'm going to have to agree. i've read info and seen numbers and reviews on all 3 companies and like others have said its all about personal preference with these. some want really high hp, some just want 'enough', some have prefered brands....its all just like CAI's, exhaust, headers, ect... on here. everyone has their own preference. beleive me i'm planning to boost in the next year and i've read up on all 3 and its all about preference of company, and what you want out of it. but that's just me

Some of the first companies actively turboing cars were using external gates factory as seen here.

Audi I5 Turbo

There are more pics online but you get the point, many OEMs have used it. Amongst others porsche, audi, volvo etc. Not that big of a deal just more or less pointing it out. The switch to internal wastegates has more to do with packaging, cost and reliability than anything.

That's not true, I was banned for a post that wasn't offensive at all.

In for numbers for sure. I have done extensive work with intake manifold design, this is an area I am extremely familiar with.......

This is just like when comparing the world racing kit to the descendant kit. You don't get this kit when you get the P tuning kit.

Not that it matters.

At the end of the day. EVERY kit listed will make power and will produce. It all comes down to personal preference.

GQQSE, you are of course correct.

As a retired engineer I know that ALL engineering is compromise, and that there is no "one correct way" to design something.

At each step in the design one makes choices based on which feature/function is most important to the engineer, and what the overall goals are.

As a customer one needs to look first at what one needs from the product, then look at the design decisions, the compromises, that were made in each product and decide which most meets your needs.

As the producer of a product, one needs to not only make people aware of the product, but needs to provide enough solid information to let the potential customers make their decisions.

I also pretty much stay out of these discussions of forced induction, because FI isn't my "thing." About the only time I even make a post in one of these threads is when the thread itself has run off the rails and needs to be nudged back. (Of course even just doing that I get attacked in PMs and posts, but that is just part of the job of trying to run a site.)

As you said, GQQSE, everyone has different criteria they use to make their choices, and once the decision is made, folks get very defensive about their choices (everyone likes to believe they made the right choice).

For some reason this is always most evident in the tC FI area of ScionLife.com. Lots of testosterone flowing here.

One of the problems is when defending one's choice or product one steps across into badmouthing the other guy. That never makes one's own decisions or products look better. One should always focus on what is good about your own, not what is bad about the other guy.

OK, back to the ____ing match!

Tom
