And what does the vacuum on this unit do for me if I have to type all this in? I know it sounds kinda noobish, but its good info to know for those looking to buy this.
well, i can tell you that the vacuum will tell the unit when you are in boost (regardless of throttle posistion)

as far as the adjusting the values that are set to 10 originally... well, thats the part im scared will be too hard for us to figure out!!!

dezod, can you just give us a diy on how you pre-programmed the boxes? since you had no idea what car the box was going on, there had to be some step-by-step process to program the boxes... can you release this?

Even in vacuum, the turbo can still be spooled, and pushing more CFM than stock. You can adjust this to add a little bit of fuel for lowering EGTs. You can adjust your idle as you wish, but 14.7 afr is perfect. There is no DIY on how we pre-programmed the boxes. When purchasing the unit, it comes with very detailed instructions, one being the one posted above. For those that opted to tune themselves, they'd be tuning themselves. I'm not trying to come off harsh Mike. We added the $30 charge for those wanting to pay us for the added convenience. If you want to tune it yourself, you can. As with anyone else. I can tell you that you should never need to type in a value lower than 8. Hopefully that helps you. Anything between those values goes from about 9.5-14.7(at the 10 setting).

I still would like someone to download the pre tune map and perhaps release it inconspicuously on the internet......

I'd shoot some money towards the first person to PM me with the pre-tuned map.

guys, i dont think its that simple... if it was that simle to just take a map and put it on your unit, dezod would still offer the service to pre tune...

the process of putting in a tune is very cumbersome and this is why dezod doesnt want to pretune anymore....

An owner of a Black Box already can either rip the tune off and put it to a file, or take a screen shot of the tune so they can plug in the #'s themselves... It would be awesome if Dezod would do that.

im sure dezod would have no problem doing so if that was the case... after all, dont they want more people to buy their box?

Ok, It's so simple to get the map off the box. connect with serial cable, select the appropriate com port, connect, then read ecu settings. It saves it to a .MDB file ( which most would think would be a microsoft database file but this one is formatted differently). Then you can pass it like an MP3 on version 1 Napster (yes the free Napster). Just involves getting a laptop and a serial cable and internet.

Dezod said that it was such a pain to pretune it that they would not offer the pretuned option anymore after the initial run.

I've spoke with them about it, but it's not hard to send an e-mail with the file. They don't even offer to sell the file. I would even pay for it since I got the box after the GB, just to cut down on the tuning time on the dyno. So if someone will upload the file, money will come your way.
