it must be tuned...you can run a base map for the time being but it will need to be tuned for safety and max performance.

Agreed! Our base map will allow you to cruise up to your tuning destination, but I would advise against boosting on the way there.

Default Alpha kit

I would really go big on your system! I say this because I wish Dezod would have had the Alpha kit when I first started boosting. Vband system is worth the extra dough in the end. You really can't beat the stainless steel setup and the tial housing on a garrett gt, gtx or hta turbo. The Dezod S1 kit is great but the Alpha kit is boost excellence. Trust me when I say get what you want the first time around because you will just kick yourself for not getting it.

As far as your tune goes... AEM fic is very easy to tune yourself if you have an EGT and a wideband. Dyno will let you know what EGT's and AFR best achieves maximum power. From that point on, you match your map for the EGT's and AFR's that make power on your car. I boosted over 14psi on my stock block setup without a hitch. I also used meth to negate any knock on my timing.

When I took my block apart you could see the good tune on the parts. Everything was well within specs and the parts looked unused. I attribute these results on 1500mi oil changes and very good tune.

The only thing they take care of is their hand in your wallet.

You opened your self to the debate when mentioned your opinion about a company that had nothing to do with the OP's question.

Default Alpha

Hmm...well... I dunno where this is going exactly. I personally don't like boosting my car and having someone else tune it for me. I usually rent a dyno or pay for the hardware to tune. I'm sure everyone can agree with me when I say that the hardest part of being boosted is the bloody tune!

I currently can't really tune anybody's car unless they live in Germany. I will also add on top of what has been stated thus far; if you boost you should at least know how to do a ruff tune.

Dezod S1 kit was bomb. I sold mine only because I got the Alpha. S1 kit manifold is a proven workhorse. I know DEZOD has carried that same legacy over with the ALPHA manifolds. DEZOD also has a terrific warranty as far as their work is concerned. Garrett is really the only turbo company I dare trust anymore, DEZOD is also Garret Certified so they are legit. Anyway...study carefully the pros and cons of each system they literally speak for themselves.

Thanks for the kind words Dan! Plus that Alpha manifold is made of 316SS.

A boost controller does not control over boosting. Our system holds boost just fine as a matter of fact. A boost controller will allow you to run more boost than what the wastegate spring pressure is (which is the lowest boost you can run)

Default Dezod Turbo kit

Chapin,
When you ask which kit is the best it is like asking which candybar tastes best. It really boils down to what flavor do you prefer. I personally go with a kit that uses Garrett turbo chargers (not just a garrett size). I prefer DEZOD kits over anything else because you also buy into the technical support and customer service.

It takes more than one bad experience to drive me away from a company; I have tried to go with other companies and they have managed to drive me away. During my first buy I went with the first company to address my issues in a timely manner. I was told by one company I would get an email back from them (funny they never even took my email down.) Second company wanted too much money for garbage and they told me it was a seasonal item WTF? Seriously? DEZOD not only replied within the hour but they also offered me options and shipped to an APO address. The other two companies didn't reply to my shipping to APO questions.

Needless to say you buy into the company who supports your purchase. I have been more than satisfied with my choice. They have stuck behind all their products and their word.

So which flavor do you prefer? Mine is Dezod Alpha w/Garrett HTA2868 and a Dezod AEM EMS.

Slydrin, first off Im not going against dezod. >.> nor am i picking sides. i know a guy with a dezod kit and he loves it. Thats besides the point, I guess with your reasoning we can not use names of "groups" or "companies" in fear that ones opinion might differ to where a stupid debate like this comes about. Ill repeat, i am not taking sides. just making that clear to you. Slydrin, all you did on this thread is attempt to attack someone just because youre heavily opinionated. Realllly?

But whatever man. =] You're totally right dude, theyre so horrible. lolol, what ever will make you happy dude. Results speak for themselves, and ill leave it at that.

I dont know what experience you had with them, but clearly it went wrong. And if you hate seeing people throw names around like this, you should better get on flaming all the people that do such things. You have failed to reply with a meaningful statement to what I actually said, if youre going to actually go down this route at least reply to everything I say instead of going, "I just dont like this and all they use is ____." I "rep" their name because I am a customer, and figured this guy could talk to them. I never said change kits, did I? But I wouldnt call it rep, Id call it more as a reference. Using that name via google is the quickest way to get a hold of them if you dont have their info, is it not? Dont get **** cause someone uses a name of a certain group of people because someone feels like they give good service. Just because you said they dont doesnt make it a fact. This is just stupid dude, done with you.

Again to op. Good luck.
