Yes - get tuned - that'll help with some power, but if you look at my results, you're not that far off.

About the tC greddy turbo kit... It says 100hp gain @8.5psi w/ Ultimate.
The kit is pre-tuned for and set at 5psi. 200whp is really good, i wouldnt complain!

tis true! ive seen a couple customers with their evos (stock turbo) increasing their psi and all they got was more torque.....how big the turbo equates to hp rather than psi.....

and i will say it again, the greddy emanage pretuned map sucks, you have to get a REAL tune anyways and you should see a good 20+ hp

LIKE I SAID BEFORE, TUNING IS KEY y0!

do you have upgraded injectors? also if you had a wideband and got it dyno tuned im pretty sure you would be able to pull off better numbers

word on what tcholic said.

i have the 16G greddy on my rsx. i turned the boost up to 20psi. got no higher HP, but gobs more torque. so i stuck with 17psi being high boost setting. (i should've gone Full-Race's setup )

although if i was running race gas, i could've made more power by advancing ignition weeeeeeeee!

he has the greddy supplied injectors i believe.

oops forgot, if you plan on turning up the boost, watch the injector duty cycle. you do not want to push over 85% duty on them. otherwise, you'll hit a lean condition and pop.

if you want more boost, its also needed that you get bigger injectors.

The numbers are for the Manual tCs though.

numbers are around where I would expect.. maybe a little low cuz of the dyno but 70+ horses isnt bad at all, especially for an auto...

Bad Gas mileage is from pressing that far right pedal... a lot!!

Also the Greddy base map is uber rich its not even funny. Dumps fuel like a ****, do your self a favor and have it leaned out and tuned.

your numbers are "low"? get it tuned and see the difference. you cant expect a basemap to run the same on every car and provide the same HP. btw, upgrade to emanage ultimate while you're at it if you're serious about getting tuned the right way.

like someone said above you, "TUNING IS THE KEY".

i personally dont think the automatic transmission is a factor of limiting HP anymore when it comes to turbo. The auto trans takes HP, yes, but it doesnt take a huge chunk out of it. I know my car isnt the tC, but I've made more power than Greddy turbo'd RSX type-S's.

Thread starter, get tuned. If you dont like the HP, turn up the boost while you're getting tuned and see the HP rise.

That is not true, my cuzin has a evo 3 gt turbo which looks like a small donut, on a small 06 civic, non SI, little R18 single cam, and with just the turbo and fuel return system he is pushing the wheels is 201.WHP and 227tq, in mind you this is a 1.8 liter single cam honda, not tuned or with exhaust,, the company who produced this was AJP in Florida, ad once tunned with exhaust we are looking at at least 220-230 WHP out of a single cam 1.8 liter civic.

yeah dude the gas mileage is because of the map greddy put in. it is really rich. i had a slight tune on my car. just by leaning it out a little bit so i could get better gas mileage i gained 11hp. the car started at 240hp and i ended up with 251. that is with 8lbs of boost and a leaking exhaust manifold.
