DIY: How To Change Spring In Turbonetics Wastegate
Alright I dont think I seen one of these yet so I figure I'll contribute for the first time. Ok so you got the wastegate in your hand, all you need is an alley key, knife or screwdriver, and the springs that came with the wastegate.

1.
Screw off the bolts with the allen key.

2.
After all the bolts are out, wrap the top in a towel or aim it at the pillow. Then take the knife or screwdriver and just get in a little to pry the top off. Just move it around to a few spots and pry easily and it will pop off.

3.
Now you got the top off, take out the spring, put the other spring back in, line up everything, bolt it back on and that's it.

Most standard wastegate springs are swapped this way. Turbosmart, Tial, Turbonetics, etc.
Just build a MBC with parts from Home Depot and a spring from a lead pencil. This way you can adjust boost easier and it even helps spooling the turbo.

Instead of calling people names, why not analyze what is going on first.
1.) I didn't know you have an MBC - but I guess that's something that should be so obvious given your question about adding shims to the wastegate.
2.) I'm here to just help. If you rather have less informative people on the board, so be it.
3.) If you have a boost gauge, adjusting an MBC is very easy.
