Default Do you have Emanage Ultimate Problems?

I was wondering how many people have had the emanage ultimate for ATLEAST 3 months and have or have not had problems with it. I am only talking about people with the latest generation emanage (serial #'s 5,000+).

I know two people that have the new ones and have had problems starting their cars. I "thought" this was a problem which was fixed in the past versions but I guess I was wrong. Please let me know if there are a lot of people w/ the same issues or with other issues .....or better yet ....with no issues.

thanks

I had an odd problem. I had to send mine back to GReddy for warranty repair. It looks like they either re-soldered or replaced the ignition chip on my circuit board.

What is the warranty? 1year from purchase?

I dunno. They just said "warranty repair". I guess it's a year... not really sure at all.

The USB port nuked on my first unit for no reason, and I mean NUKED out of the blue... Both new and old units, some case screws snapped off when trying to remove them. After those issues, it has been perfect knock on wood...

Interesting feedback. What suprises me is that after so many generations of this unit ...there are still more then one issue

Don't really know about the GU-E but can you program multiple maps... or is it only one map? Say have a stock mode/ Race / whatever?

ive had mine for a week now but hadnt hooked it up... i finally finished my turbo build and started the engine management... i finally finished all the wiring and hooked up my emanage and my car wont start!!! im so aggrevated right now... i was up until 3AM last night ... i think something is wrong with the ignition circuit or something because im not getting spark when its hooked through the greddy ultimate but i do get a spark when i wire straight to the ecu.

I always though you could have 2 maps on it.

Does it at least crank? did you solder the wires into the harness or do you have the Dezod PnP harness? I tell you, that PnP harness is a lifesaver. Get that.

Also, if you have the software loaded onto a laptop, make sure the injectors are set properly in the emanage. Mine wasn't set at all and that's why it wouldn't start.

Also - yes you can have 2 tune maps on it, but you can't switch between them unless you're using a laptop.

if you have the ver. 2.0 you have to set the jp 8 to 2-3 instead of 1-2 thats it then u should be ok thats what happend to me the car started up and was tune then it did work the next day. and went back to the tuner with the owners man.. and found out the jpers setting and was changed did not see what he change exact but it was by the upper right side of few jps setting there.. thats all i know and he plug it back up it started just fine

yes the car will crank but its just dumping fuel. and the jumper was changed from 1-2 to 2-3 because its a 12v not a 5v system in the coils. i did NOT have the dezod harness i did solder things in though. i dont think my injectors are set improperly because they were dumping fuel UNFORTUNATELY last night only one injector was working ...i might kirk out soon .... i actually have version 1.14 i believe.... should i download the update off of greddy's website?
