Default DOWN AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

So,
What is the deal here. My car has seen more time at the Toyota dealership than on the road. Last night I lost ALL power to the car. It had been sputtering lately and I was gonna bring it in to get checked out, but last night on the Highway with my fiance in the car the car actually died 2 times at ~70mph but luckily kept coming back on.
Then while pulling out from a light the vehicle just died. I lost EVERYTHING.
No Power whatsoever. This is at night, at about 20mph and on a very narrow road. I had no power steering or brakes and when the car was on the side of the road I had no Four-Ways to warn on coming traffic.
So I am now waiting to speak to the Manager of the service Dept. This thing is more than a lemon in my mind, and only strengthens the points that both times the S/C had to be replaced it wasn't due to anything I had done.

What do you all think?

Hahaha, I know what you are going to say, and I am in agreement to the fullest. This was a mistake, getting the S/C was an absolute mistake, what I want to know is,
What would you do in this situation.
I am thinking about pushing towards the lemon law with the vehicle.

threaten to sue the dealership, that way they screw up your car even more and you get a new one because the wheels or fenders fell off.

Honestly, that's a tough predicament, and I wouldn't know what to do. I'm just glad that neither you nor your lady where injured in a collison or anything. NO 4 ways! I bet that was a little scary, kinda like watching your car sit on the train tracks and there is nothing you can do about it as the train comes... How long have you had the car?

I have had the car for over a year now, and I have only been able to put less than 17000 miles on her because she spends so much time at the dealership.

My guess is your power cable from your battery has rubbed and shorted hard on the sc housing. If they installed the sc half arsed and did not follow instructions then it will happen. Seen it on a few sc'ed cars.... Or heck.. could be somthing totally different

At least file a complaint, so you can have something to build your case just in case you do need to persue other avenues (legal ones). File as many complaints as you can to Toyota, Scion, call all of the customer service numbers you can. The more it shows you tried to correct the problem after being reported, the better your case is. Also glad you were not hurt or your lady, scary stuff!

You should file a complaint. Did you try to take it to another Dealer and let them check it out?
