I haven't popped a single pipe yet. If it's torqued properly, it wont pop unless your making some obscene boost.

 

Joe, you are also using stronger t-bolt clamps. Matt and I where sent clamps, that where a size to small, a "happy medium" size.

They also snap under pressure, Ive broken a few.

 

I found 2 more dyno runs in my glove box haha. The rest of my stuff I left at ZPI on accident. Kennys holding it hostage that bastard.

Am I missing something here??? What happened to ZPI's claim of Stage 1's Dynoing at 300+hp? Are these auto's??

 

That last dyno is a ZPI kit - 322/348 I think it said. Although, thats not exactly a stage 1. But it was around11-12 psi, lower compression, built engine n stuff.

What are the torque specs - I'm trying to find the right number. I either tighten them too much and break the clamp or they seem to pop. I had the throttle body one pop today. I think thats 5 times totall. stalling on the eway at 4am is sweet. Either way, rolled ends wouldn't hurt

 

DUDE! Ive stalled on the free way here at 3 a.m. due to a charge pipe blowing off!! Wow what a coincedence. Could it be cause we have the same kit.

What kind of clamps are they? T bolt clamps is what I use and those will crush aluminum pipe before breaking.

Also, is it possible the charge pipe is hitting the firewall? The engine move about a foot....stiffy time

 

That is so wrong on so many levels, but yet I still laughed out loud

 

just regular plumbing type clamps. you turn the screw and and it gets tighter. The band has the slotted holes.
