Guys there is more than enough adjustment in the assembly to make sure the pipes do not rub.

Default UPDATE

6/3/09 - UPDATE

Ok, the guys over at Lethal Injection started tuning the car around 7pm today. I get a call at 8:30pm saying that the car is only making 3.5 lbs of boost. They said that it is not leaking boost anywhere, this is with a 10.15 psi spring loaded into the wastegate. Does anyone know what could possibly be causing that? They were supposed to run a boost and vacuum leak test which they say came up with nothing. There was a o-ring gasket missing around the HKS BOV initially but they put one on.

This is a brand new spring that I put in when doing the install and I can tell you it definitely was not 3.5 lbs. I was able to put remove and put in a 5 psi spring by myself, with the 10.15 psi, I borrowed a friend.

They believe something is wrong with the spring, I still think there is a boost leak. I have to take them the other springs I have tomorrow, 5 psi & 8.7 psi. Does anyone else buy the faulty spring theory? It is brand new from Dezod.

Lastly, they said the car is throwing the same CEL, P0011, camshaft positioning sensor. I have not clue why it would do that, tuning maybe? I'm not entirely sure they are supposed to be diagnosing that tomorrow as well. I'm trying to get some input from you before I go up there.

I have to make a 2 hour drive everytime I need to go there and i'm leaving w/o my car and having to pay for a rental. This is really blowing big time. Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can tell them in case they missed anything.

i take it your running the aem fic right? sounds like you need to do the resister mod to your fic harness. if its eblue then sorry idk what to tell ya.

if they are positive that ther is no boost leak then i want to say that the wastgate isnt functioning properly....could be stuck open or the valve seat on the wastgate has fallen off (unlikely but iv seen it happen on a cheap wastegate before)

Yes it is the AEM FIC. Resistor mod would fix that issue? Intersting, I have the PNP harness from Dezod. I am really wondering if they are positive about no boost leaks. I'll have to stress that when I get there tomorrow.

A little late. I already have everything required to do it in my bag so I can head up there, do the resistor mod, take them the new springs, clear the CEL and make it back before class starts.

im 100% positive that the resister mod will fix that cell. im kinda surprized thats the only cell youv thrown, normally you would also see a combo code (cam/crank signal).

I probably have thrown others but i've used the scangauge to clear them out since I was 110% positive nothing was wrong.

The only other time I threw any other CEL related to sensors was when I first got the car and was learning how to drive a manual tranny and I was jerking all over the place, I threw a CEL and the dealer just cleared it out for me.

I'm having a not so great experience with Lethal Injection Motorsports in Alpharetta, GA at the moment.
