No the FIC does not read the OEM Lamda sensor. It won't read AFR at all unless you have a 0-5v analog output hooked up to the FIC.

The reason i'm saying Lethal's is wrong is simply because had they really really tuned using AFR they wouldn't did something to the O2 map. There is no way coming right out the gate that the O2 map should be all 0's at the end of the tune. It isn't that dang perfect as evident when I went to pick the car up.
correction the fic does read it (02 map) but does not display it...not sure there

is a way to get it to display that info unless you hacked the fic.
So essentially it doesn't read it
if you want to split hairs it does read it

but yeah you got the idea

I sent you a log but it was from the internal logger and was all eff'd up.

Rob told me how to hook up the UEGO to the FIC and PC log so I have tons of those now. None, with the original poop tune though.

Update 6/15/2009

I took care of my last remaining exhaust leak this morning.

Took the car out to a secluded spot and took off the exhaust manifold, I cleaned the gasket with some soapy water and cleaned the mani with soapy water. I sealed the gasket up with RTV on both sides, put the manifold back on and tightened the bolts.

Cure time for the RTV was 1 hour but i'm sure that passed by the time I got the downpipe bolted back up, removed the reminisce of my VRD fog lights, put the IC piping back on the turbocharger, etc.

Fired it up and the AFR's looked like they should. I placed my hand over the top of the exhaust mani and felt no air

I took it out for one quick run, cruise and idle AFR between 14 and 15, boost between 11 and 12.

Came back to the apartment to the smell of burning oil, looked under the car and saw no oil, looked under the hood and saw my turbo oil feed line which was already garbage from the previous user not really sealed. Got out my wrench and realized it wasn't getting any tighter, inspected it and saw I needed another since if I swapped ends the other end connected fine and tightened down.

Ordered one from Dezod this morning and it'll be here tomorrow so I can make it to class

So I don't have a turbo oil feed line so i'll be eating whatever can be delivered for dinner. Oh and the RTV had all day to sit, cure and make that leak proof gasket that we all know and love.

Blow through is great if you want to vent to atmosphere. It's not drastically different than the regular MAF setup.

I really don't know how it works or anything like that. People say its better but I don't have anything to compare it to.

how would he be reading a narrow band? unless he was using a narrow band gauge. and you cant "calibrate" the uego sensor but you can calibrate the fic aux gauge.
If he is pulling information from the AEM FIC then he needs to make sure the sensor setting is correct. Does the FIC read the OEM Lambda sensor?
when using the fic to read an afr you have to wire it up to the aux gauge wire that only accepts a 0-5volt input...you could in theory hook up a narrow band but i doubt the fic would be able to read it using the aux gauge feature. you also have to calibrate the fic to read the uego correctly...when you get the uego it comes with instructions and a list of values that you need to enter into the fic to read the uego...so all the ground work is done for you all you gata do is copy down the info into the fic.

Sounds like the same thing the Ultimate has when you plug in the A/F ratio harness to hook up to a Wideband for the A/F Target map.

Glad to see people are catching on to this. I first saw it on PTuning's TA car and World Racing's TA car. Then I did it to mine, and reported that people shouldn't waste money on some "magical" gasket, and just use RTV around the exhaust ports.

I think I have an exhaust leak between down-pipe and s-pipe (go figure, TT fitment is off). Think it'll work? I don't even know if that's the leak, but I'm pretty sure there is a leak somewhere. It HAS to be the reason for my car being so stinky.

You're exactly right, just outline the entire gasket. I used it on my used gasket but I have a new one here now that i'll pull back off and RTV again in a couple of weeks.

RTV has been used forever...

Carbon - if your leak is minor it should work.. if it's a major leak the RTV could hold for a short while.

Why FTW? Is the car a strict racecar? If so, great. If not, by by turbo in a few thousand miles.
