Default Electric Cutout exhaust

Anyone use this setup with their exhaust system? Is there enough room to fit one underneath the tc? I'm thinking about doing this with my turbo setup.

Is this one of those that you can open for better exhaust flow from inside the car and shut it off when you want the car more silenced?

yes, it would convert to a full open exhuast system with the flip of a switch. You would weld it in probably the first spot wher ethe exhuast straightens out. After the s pipe flange most likely on mid pipe side. THIS WOULD BE LOUD!!

Yeah.. it's like having a switch to have a open down tube and flip the swtich back to flow back into your regular exhaust sytem.

It will be pretty loud, only if the switch is open. You can see it now as you open it up at the light and the next guy looks at you like WTF!

This looks cool if it works. Yeah, test it out for us and let us know.

yea i was thinking about one of these too... once you open it, it pretty much sounds like butt.... but you can probably expect 15-20 hp (no these arent ricer numbers) on a turbocharged tC

Well if youve ever heard an str-4 running a open down pipe thats prolly the closeat thing it would sound like. On a turbo set up it wouldnt be that loud. I mean its loud but not LOUD if you know what I mean. Beside the sound the turbo makes is worth it.

atpturbo.com has one but it opens once you reach a set boost pressure. Same exact idea just not electronic switch. BTW if you scroll down on the first page they have a video of it on a GTI

If you are doing it for performance, it has NOTHING to do with the type of car. But if you are doing it for the sound, then yes it only belongs on a muscle car. Imports arent suppose to sound like this will make it sound.
But for performance with a powerful car, it will benifit any style car.
