Bump.

Now equipped with his new Engine Limiter, Louis (Angel) took his car back to our local 1/8th mile track. And just straight KILLED the competition. With a best ET of 9.3 in the 1/8th mile. He went from constant 9.6's to a 9.3 with the Engine Limiter on his car. Previously he had no other form of engine damping.

I will scan in his timeslip sometime today.

He won 9 of the 11 races that he did. The only two races he lost to were,

-S/C Mustang Cobra
and
-Civic Hatchback that has like 430-450whp and runs 10sec 1/4 miles.

The vicotries consist of a number of cars including:

-2 turboed 240sx's (Sr20 motors I presume)
and most impressive was against

-Lexus SC300 Supercharged with 300+ whp.

Louis said with the Lexus, he got the jump on it coming off the tree. That jump gave Louis the victory, as the 300+whp S/C'er could not catch up to the Basic Stage 0 tC. All other mods Louis has is completely stock.

-Stock Clutch
-Stock Exhaust
-Stock Boost setting as well.
-Daily Driven Falken street tires

wow, 9.3 in the 1/8 mile is really "killing" it. lol

 

Our of curiousity, 1/8th is approx 660 feet correct? Would you think, with a stage 0, a 1/8th time could be considered a 0-60 time? I know 0-60 lengths vary substantially, but I am just curious.

 

^^^well, considering that stock tC's have 0-60 times of about 7.4--I don't think that a turboed tC would be 2 seconds slower.

Sorry If I misunderstood you. A modest turbo tC should have mid to high 5 sec 0-60.

Also bcnu to add to that, when you run the 1/8th mile, your trap speed (mph) is 74-77mph in the 1/8th mile.

not to bring this back from the dead.... but.

i have a stage 0 w/ colder spark plugs (if that matters) a CAI (if that matters) and a 2.5" s pipe, midpipe, and axleback. (tsudo and megan) how much HP would i be expecting? im at 6 PSI, not tuned, no injectors. the guy who had it before me ran 220 with only an axleback. can anyone help me with this? thanks
