Its no different than kikcaffine and (sorry forgot his name who refabed the s/c shafts) with the S/C upgrades. Someone finally said enough is enough and refabed the shaft and did the research for upgraded bearings. It took lots of time, money, research and trial and error to make these parts. None the less I'm sure it can be done but who wants to or even has time for this project?
Well maybe for someone like you or me it would be a waste of time and money. Sure research and development is costly but for a company that profits from selling aftermarket parts is definitely not a waste of time or money it is an investment. I'm sure a lot of people here agree that fwd sucks from the hole and like i said before there are other fwd cars using this with great results. Even if this don't ever comes into production I will try to get my local builder to make me one because lets face it you can make a ton of power but if you can't put it to the ground is useless

blackdarthtc I never thought of that, maybe its because even with a s/c I don't experience a lot of wheel spin in any gear granted I have the trd lsd and a good set of bridgestone pole positions. I'm sure someone will fab up one and make tons of money from it, its just a matter of time. Maybe you could get your local builder to fab one up and make a good profit from it. Just crazy that noone has done this, I know honda guys have been using these things for a while.. And point proven spinning wheels don't win races, traction does.

The engine limiter.

Hardly a traction bar.

Well traction bars may be an option, however this requires some decent R&D to be done to maximize the mounting points and minimize chassis flex that limits traction.

In all honesty, you guys would be better off with the simplistics and not looking for a bar to solve your greater problems. What I am saying is that since 2006, there has been a barrage of parts made for this app. None of these where around back when this topic first arose.

The basic parts would be:
1) wider wheels
2) stickier rubber
3) stiffer suspension
4) LSD
5) poly motor mounts

These will greatly reduce 90% of all of your traction problems. I feel most of you should look here first.

We have done plenty of Scions since 2006, and quite frankly I couldn't even begin to count how many, but I have done a few with all of the above mentioned components and the results are there for the money spent. They handle great, launch great and hold power quite nicely.

it is a very good vibration maker! i put one on my car and i drove it for about 2 miles and the vibration noise it made was out of the world so i took it off right after.

Oh figured it to be that much considering it's design. (or lack there of)

My boy Louis ran one on his Stage 0. He seemed to enjoy having it and didn't make mention of intolerable vibrations. Brian (Jester) ran one for a while too (I think he still has it).

I got everything you mentioned except for stickier tires, was looking at slicks but ill wait until next year. Paul thanks for your input, do you think that one day this would ever be developed? I would really like to see it because in other applications i have seen great results. On a side note someone just rear ended me on route 80 sent me flying through the shoulder, thank God im alive. To make matters worse he just left, police are looking for him, im sorry to be off topic but i had to vent

Glad to hear you are safe.

Rubber makes a HUGE difference. Try some Falken 615Rs or Dunlop Direzza Star-Specs....Let me know what you think.
