Default First Mod After Turbo?

What do you guys think would be the best mod after installing turbo? (im most likely going to get the DEZOD kit)

I have heard upgrading cams is a good first option.

Also if you can the expected power gains/function would be nice haha

Well, depending on what you currently have coming out the back, but I would say appropriate exhaust setup would be the best modification.

best 1st mod will be full exhaust.. then clutch to hold the power.. some engine build would be great but i would have to say cams wouldnt be anywhere on the top of the list.. IMO

its not a necessity you can always let you car cool down by yourself.. but it will be convenient to have one. And yeah always avoid hot shut down on your turbo system

a turbo timer is so you can cool the car down after you drive it, you set it up. take your key out and car still runs for hw ever long you want it to 2 min, 5 min, it has nothing to do with boost

i say go with the clutch first. Only b/c! depending on how much whp you are getting you are going to break the clutch. The oem clutch wont even grab onto the plate b/c theirs too much power and you won't be utilizing the power and you will feel like your actually losing power. So i say go with the clutch and then the exhaust. well thats imo of course

CLUTCH CLUTCH CLUTCH.

Mine blew on the dyno before I could even take it to the street. The exhaust should always be replaced when you do the turbo install.

Those two are crucial in ensuring the car runs the way it should. An AEM wideband and a boost gauge are the two most important gauges you can have on the car when you boost it.

I really wouldn't suggest putting a turbo on the car without those items. Turbo timers are definitely not essential when you compare what other components are out there to actually make a worthwhile difference.

I'm working on my 5th turbo project, so trust me when I say this .

RX-8. I race in NASA now and have a few pending sponsorships for the end of 09 into the 2010 season. Planning on racing PTC/TTC if the mods take it that far.
