Default Flashlight Drag Races are back! (vids inside)

Saturday kicked off the 2007 Flashlight Drag races at the Clarion County Airport. The competition in the tuner class is much better this year, and as usual there were lots of fast muscle cars. My car is the Azure Pearl tC.
My first race was against an Integra. I don't know much about the car, but it was quick. After crossing the finish line I looked over at the driver and threw my hands up. Neither of us could determine winner, we will race again. Sorry, no video of this race.

My second race was against a green V6 Cougar with nitrous. It was darn close, but he took me by about a foot, we will also race again.

My 3rd race was against a silver Cobalt SS Supercharged. I've been waiting a long time to race one. I beat him by just a few feet. We will probably race again after he gets some mods.

My third race was against a Yellow Sentra SE-R Spec-V. It was a lot closer than I expected. I figured I would just walk him.

My 4th race against a stock Nautical Blue tC. He's a friend who wanted to see how a stock tC compared to a blown one. I think he wants forced induction now.

My 5th race was against a dark blue turbo Integra. He claims his car dynoed at 278 whp! I thought I did ok against him.

I hope you all enjoy the videos. The event was a blast. Major thank you's to my boy Gary who took the vids. Next races are on the first Sunday in June. I'll be back with more videos!

I'm supercharged, 9 psi pulley, and Megan OE exhaust. The Flashlight Drags are a race to the finish, no times. That Sentra was a runner! I'm sure we'll line up again in June.

Nice races!
That integra was slow for the HP he's claiming. They weigh a hair over 2600lbs, with that HP he should be rolling easy low 12's against your high 13 sec tC (assuming slicks for both cars). You could claim bad traction on his part, but he wasn't pulling you any better towards the end

It is only a Honda after all. 278 HP doesn't mean a whole lot at 175 ft-lbs of torque.

Anyway, nice vids, Ryno. :D

I know what you mean, but trust me, 278whp is still a fast Integra -- he just has to launch it very high to land in his powerband right away and pull good times (IE: good luck on anything BUT slicks )

^^ Yeah, I was joking anyway. ~300 whp in just about any small car is a force to be reckoned with. But I'm wondering if he misread or mis-memorized his dyno, and it actually said 218, not 278. *shrugs* Oh well...

Yo ryno...Nice to see you back at making vids. I remember your last ones. Awesome runs man.

Hey, can't remember if the Flashlight drags distance is an 1/8th mile or are you running 1/4mile distances?

Thanks Travis! That means a lot coming from the video king. I'll hopefully have have 2 more sets coming in the next 2 months.
They claim 1/8th mile, but it's actually about 1,000 ft.

Thanks dude. His car is quick, but he lost in the tuner tournament to an E36 M3. Which, in turn , lost to an Evo IX in the final race.

So he came in 3rd place? What do you get for winning?
