Default FMU Engine Managment Unit - Would it work?

Is it possible to use one of the old school FMU units that civics use to adjust fuel pressure based on boost pressure. With a return fuel system on the tC would this be possible?

Maybe put the ECU into limp mode by pulling the primary o2 sensor and using this device?

I understand this isnt the BEST option. Always looking for new ways to boost and new ideas to help out people who are on a low budget.

ot up to date but most aeromotive fpr's come with a nipple for a boost source and adds 1psi of fuel for every psi of boost, im pretty sure u can adjust the variables too call paul

Right - I have the adjustable 1:1 pressure regulator already but with civics and other older cars I know you can easily use and FMU (product listed above) which raises the fuel pressure 12:1....in return using the stock ECU and injectors with the fuel pressure regulator.

that'll be a waste of money, you can change the fuel psi all day long but the ecu will always run at 14.7 AFR all day long up to 4000rpms.

Return fuel is good to have so you have to tune less, but without the propger electronics you'll get a CEL and/or lean under partial throttle boost.

regulator.
that would work nice only 1 problem partial throttle boosting....have fun running 8:1 afr

this also goes with what death by tc said about cels' and up to 4k rpms which is when open loop kicks in

In short this is a bad idea and would be taking your car back about 20 years in technology in regards to forced induction. Will it work, probably, will it work well, no.
