With a full tank of gas, how many miles can you go before the gas light come on?
I get around 260 miles mostly freeway. Thanks.

 

well I dont know how you drive but I get better mileage even when I'm boosting, not heavily of course. I hit about the 280 range before my light comes on for normal day to day driving. Above 300 on freeway driving.

 

WTF, im N/A auto with no mods and bearly getting about 270.

How are you driving? The way you drive has a huge impact on your gas mileage. If you press on the gas lightly you would be surprised at the difference. Fast acceleration will greatly decrease your mileage.

 

not necessarily. I know if i drive completely like a grandma (taking a while to get to 45) my mileage goes lower than if i got to 45 swiftly. then again, im not turbo. :]

 

used to get 28mpg before I turboed the car now on the same trip it gets 30mpg . 90% of the tank is 80mph and the othe 10% is 50mph with about 15 stop and goes .

 

I baby my car ALOT.

I drive really slowly to 3k RPM and shift slow and smoothly. I drive constantly at 45-50mph and do many stops.

And i am noway near 270MPG.


I Also have I/H/E & Pulley with 19's and Dual 12's.


maybe this is the reason why, i dont know.

 

well, perhaps the 19s throw off the spedometer and thus your mileage counter?

but yeah, dont accelerate slowly. drive at a constant speed limit. that is the key to mileage.

 

I get between 230-260 miles before the light comes on..
I drive 97% stop and go freeway traffic.

IDK, but i wouldnt let it go down anymore than that! As soon as you see that, fill up!

 

I have gone almost 30 miles after the light came on.
But I heard it is not good to do because the fuel pump can get overheated.

 

usually the light implies 2.5 gallons left

 

I have intake full megan exhaust and drive moderate to "fun". and I get 260 to 300 depending on my "fun". and thats with alot of stop and go not even above 50mph.

when I get on the highway the best I got was a round trip and a full tank of gas. it was almost 355miles a tank. maybe its that I'm at 5,280+ feet above see level. you think that would make it worse.

 

i get like 270 (NA) and i do the limit on the HW and like 5-10 over the limit on the streets.
how are turbo guys getting better mileage?

Honestly I drive like a bat outta hell. and get around 290. All i have is cai.

 

Im going boosted in a week, but i drive all the time like im in a rush and i get to about 315 before i fill up. ( 290 is when the gas light comes on )
