Default Going from s/c to turbo...

Has anyone donme what I'm about to do. I'm going through the parts list of things I'll need for thee turbo kit, namely oem parts thrown out durring the TRD s/c install. I know I'll need a new ecu,, hoses, and maybe an oil pan, still have to have a friend look at his turbonetics setup to see if the oil line is in a good spot to dill out. Waiting untill I have the turbo kit before I do the install because of the fuel injectors and pluming, etc. Did a few searches and didn't find any topic on a swap, although some people said the have done it with no detail. So, anything to look out for? I know most the stuff from the trd kit was just moved around.

S/C is not fast enough for you I take it. Good luck on the F/I swap.

I might take you up on that. Any idea if it will fit in an 07 tC? Swapping my 06 FM auto for an 07 SW stick tomorrow.

No. The 05-06 SC will not fit the 07 =[ . TRD is working on it though! Should be here soon... but TRD have a rep for being a little late

The TRD oil pan should work fine with any turbo kit. Try calling the dealer. I'm not sure but the reflash might be revervesable. I know on other car and esu's it is...worth a shot.

Two things

1) Its not reversible, don't know why, I guess Toyota didn't plan on people swapping back to stock but hey, whatever lol. I know this for a fact from when I blew my engine and had to go out and buy a new ECU $1100

2) Next the TRD pan is GREAT for turbo setups actually, it's what ZPI includes for their kits when they say "pre-tapped oil pan" they are sending you the TRD SC pan.

Good stuff I might take you up on that SC offer, still thinkin bout financials but I'll get back to you on that

Hey, if anyone wants the s/c, that's fine with me. It's got a week on it, blew the seals on the last one.

Anyways, so i have to get a new ecu for sure with the install of the turbonetics kit right?? Anyone know if anything the trd kit moved around (starter etc) will get in the way?

If you sell the supercharger just make a deal to swap ECUs with the new owner. It will save them needing a reflash on theirs and save you from buying a new ECU.

ok i'm a dope...i thought the reflash on the ecu was a software update to the chipset?
there is no way for the service team to reflash it back to stock? that makes no sense at all.
