Goodies to hold that extra boost.
And... This is a pre-emptive STFU
What could cause clutch chatter?
Chatter is when the car shudders as the clutch is being engaged. Possible [causes] may be as follows:
1. Flywheel has excessive run-out.
2. Flywheel was not resurfaced or improperly resurfaced before the new clutch was installed.
3. Damaged or excessively worn CV joints.
4. Bad U-joints in driveshaft or U-joints misaligned.
5. Excessive backlash in differential.
6. Excessive driveline angle.
7. Bad leaf springs, bushings or mounts.
8. The use of an aggressive clutch disc designed for racing.
9. Defective pressure plate and/or disc.
10. Disc has inadequate marcel (not enough cushion between the friction facing).
11. Oil or grease contamination on clutch facings.
12. Worn or damaged clutch linkage.
13. Bent pressure plate assembly and/or disc.
14. Improperly tuned engine.
15. Worn or damaged engine mounts or transmission mounts.

I believe that you just don't know what chatter sounds or feels like. I was standing next to Brett's car while he was getting tuned and EVERY TIME they would engage the clutch, you could hear the clutch chatter. He has a puck style clutch.
I also believe that you feel that just because someone states that your clutch is going to or has chatter, it's a bad thing. It's not a bad thing from a mechanical standpoint, it is operating as designed. For my car, my preference would be a clutch with smooth engagement.
That's the crux of this problem, performance clutches are usually puck style. Puck style clutches have harsh engagement. The only exceptions for performance clutches that don't chatter are multi-disc and full faced. Full faced clutches are not usually considered high performance, but many companies have recently been using stronger materials and much more powerful pressure plates. These new clutches have VERY hard peddle feel, but smooth engagement.

AJ, what would you recommend that doesn't cost $1200.
I'm getting this same clutch and as long as chatter isn't bad I don't think I'll mind. I'm sure with the power I put down and the daily driving in traffic that I'll be doing will destroy my clutch fast no matter what.

I went with the Stage 3+ Super Clamp. It cost ~$500 and per the manufacturer holds 600+ ft. lbs. The normal Stage 3+ is 480 ft. lbs.
Some other person recently spoke about his Spec Stage 2+ having a full Kevlar face and they hold 455 ft. lbs. All of the Spec Stage 1 - 3 clutches are full faced and offer stock characteristics for drivablity but with much harder peddle feel especially the Super Clamp versions. The Stage 4 and 5 versions are puck design and are listed as:
Not street-friendly due to harsh engagement.
"I do not have a twin for the Tc yet. But, I have a couple great street/strip setups that will hold the power. The standard 3+ almost will @ 478 ft lbs. But the super clamp version stage 3 will hold 547 ft lbs and the super clamp stage 3+ 627 ft lbs. I like the super clamp 3+, part number STS823F, simply because it will last longer than anything on the market and it drives like a st2+."

^ I'll keep this in mind in case mine goes. I think that Jester is the only one running the ZPI racer clutch that has close (more) HP then I'll have and I don't think he's driven the car long and hard enough yet to give a great review. Although I could be wrong. If that clutch that you're getting feels any better and holds up I may switch out. I know the racer clutch is hard as a rock to push and I was like WTF. I think it's gonna take a learning curve with any new clutch I put in. The stock tc is the only clutch I've ever drove except for Mike's racer clutch for a minute and a tractor.
who ever the guy is with the stage 2 TURDBO give me a friggin break. are you that bored with life that you actually took piles of turds and put them under your motor to state a company is selling crap products? seriously man, grow the **** up.

Also, that is the most fun I've had with my car in 18 months because of a **** ZPI kit and a SH!TTIER ZPI tune.
If you think I have no basis on which I speak from, then you are sadly mistaken. You can continue to HUG THOSE NUTS like you have in the past:
speaking from experience, kenny is a driving ****. when i stopped by there he took me around the block in their maserati. by the time we hit 80mph he decided to straighten the car out and take off. ...
for the record if i recall correctly im running "THE" very first zpi kit and i have had no such problems. so dont blame it on being one of the first kits. seems like an install problem.
ive had the red residue and asked a local shop and they said it was from running rich.
This is what he needs right here:

we are looking at a different approach then coilovers because of pricing. ...

ZPI FTW! ZPI all the way! Not enough power and ZPI do not belong in the same sentence!
x2
x2
if anyone is gonna take care of you its kenny. they really took care of my tc for me and at a unbeatable price. was a long drive, but well worth it.
man im hoping to hit that 10.5 psi mark. do yo ...

Pollup, so you're saying...
ZPI stg0< GReddy< ZPI stg 1 ?
yes.
ZPI stg0< GReddy< ZPI stg 1 ?
yes.
you will yield more whp on the greddy kit since it is intercooled and has engine management. if its power your looking for go zpi stage 1. a few of us are in the 300whp range, im currently in the 27 ...
my buddy just finished doing some research on a turbo kit and he ended up going with a zpi stage 1 (he has never ridin in my car so hes not sure yet what hes gotten himself into)
Now I'm going to go bump my video thread TTT FTW LOL BBQ

At What point do you realize that I don't give a crap about some crummy Clutch Chatter.
This thread is NOT about Clutch Chatter, or the "Wanna Be" Clutch Chatter that you swear up and down EVERY clutch has. Stop Thread Jacking my thread.

Brian (Jester) Has driven his car long enough and hard enough to give a review. I have asked him about is thoughts. The only thing he said to me was, the engagement is HELLA quick. So you better be ready to drive it. Our Street/Strip clutch had a different engagement than factory of course. It took a week or two to get use to it. But after you learn to drive, you drive it like IT WAS stock.

I'm not sadly mistaken to know that you are FULL of cow dung, and spout stuff of at the mouth without having ANY experience in it what so ever. IF you were smart and knowlegeable, then you would have had your car RE-tuned after driving all the way to FL from KY. KY is NOT FL. Different weather, different climate.
How tall are you, Cause I didn't know they stacked **** that High.
