I know a site that you can get free e-Manage software.

But does anyone know what version the e-Manage Blue for the tC uses?

no, its only free updates for the tool, it won't work.

its only full software for the emanage ultimate.

 

Give it a try, it might work.. i know the e-Manage software is being circulated in the internet for free.. the latest version 1.48 or is it 1.49 works for the tC.

I have a free S/W version of the eManage tool. My problem is I don't have the cable. A regular USB will not work. I found a site on how to bould one but haven't done that yet. I think I have 1.48. Not sure why Greddy doesn't just send it with the eManage, s/w is basically free to duplicate, the cable should be cheap and it's not like you can use it on anything but the eManage you bought from them. Not sure if it's a marketing decision to get more sales or safety, like they don't want you street tuning and would want you to get a pro tune.

 

you can buy a usb to serial from computer store but you can buy another one to convert it from usb to serial then serial back to usb
that if your laptop doesnt have a serial port

 

That's not the issue. Though the jack on the front of eManage is USB, the eManage uses a different communication protocol from USB so it isn't wired the same. This homebuilt cable uses a DKU 5 Nokia cable as the doner. Here's the instructions:

I just have not tried building one yet to see if it would work. Also, the eManage base map I had was password protected, a new one needed to be sent from Greddy to the tuning shop.

 

i have that DIY 5 cable and didnt work, but i guess its a driver issue for me..

 

Try downloading the driver linked in the document i posted above.

 

cant open, no office document lol but i did try downloading directly at the nokia website.. the computer has to detect that a serial/com device is connected not a usb.. but i have the support cable anyweiz.

 

yeah cause my buddy downloaded it for his emanage ultimate and it works fine.
