Default Greddy turbo install question

Anybody with the Greddy turbo kit have any problems with the radiator hose hitting the i/c piping connecting to the throttle body? I am planning to install my kit this weekend myself and looks like that area is a tight fit. Any help is appreciated.

Yeah, I read Rabid's post, very helpful but nothing about the radiator hose.

Zer0, were you able to move the hose to the side to make room for the i/c piping?

thanks guys

The Charge pipe does touch the upper radiator hose. I Wouldn’t say its a big problem though.

No idea, ive never had a problem with it.

They say it can flake off and go into the turbo, but ive never heard or seen this happen, ever. Teflon has never flaked on me.

Only way I see it going into the turbo, is if you remove the feed line. Also NPT/RTV sealent can chunk up and go into your turbo, via same scenerio. So you cant win.

On the inner threads where the oil makes contact with the teflon. The oil will break it down and cause it to "flake" off and once it gets in your turbo its bad news. I'm on my 2nd turbo because of it. Dont use it! Right now I dont have any tfelon or rvt silicone on any of the oil lines and I dont have any leaks.

It takes years for teflon to break down. correct? Also applying the teflon right, the oil will not touch the upper threads.

If teflon tape is applied correctly and you don't by the cheap stuff, You will not have a problem.

yea i guess if you just install it on the outer threads and make it really tight you will have no problems!
