u didnt get the pnp harness did u.
if not, buy it from dezod, resolder ur stock ecu again and plug it in.
greddy can lick my nuts. the directions r wrong. while ur at it, change the internal wg, couplings and wormgear. then u should be ok for a while

Lmao.. You said be ok for awhile! That's funny. You can use that internal gate for awhile, but I can almost assure you that it'll fail down the road. It has happened to a lot of people, including my wife's tc. We ended up getting custom ic piping made and switched out the couplers, and worm clamps. To be honest, their pretty cheap. Other than that, we love the boost lol

naw when i got the greddy kit they said that it wasa "PNP harness" so i got that and took a look at the instructions then almost commited suicide....so i called them to run me thru it i followed every single step they said then it came to starting the car....=)i was soo excited then it tried to start..then did that nasty idle then just cut off.... so i kinda feel like crap kuz the car has a ton of @#$% done to it and i just wanted to finish thecar.. il try that idea tho how easy is the plug andplay hanrness from dezod?

did you check for vac leaks? change your spark plugs? also try taking off the filter and starting it (dont go driving it around) see if the idle smooths out any.

at idle the emanage shouldnt be doing anything, only at WOT it starts to spit signals to the ECU, unless its just bad splices or wrong splices

Ive had my kit for about 9 months with no problems. For you guys that know, why and how would you go about changing the internal wg? and where would you put the new one?

Also, what do you guys think about Dezods black box? is it worth it?

Def shouldve gotten the Dezod wireing kit... saves a ton of time

the internal wg on the greddy kit has been known to fail a time or 2, in some cases blowing engines. and you would either have to have a flange welded on your existing manifold or buy a new manifold fitted for a external wg, then weld the internal one closed on the turbo.

the splices should be fine but id rather just connect everything back together and just get a dezod pnp harness just in case yea... black box?? what the heck?

that pre tune thing this came with does it compensate the difference kuz the car got lots more done to it and i just wana make sure the engine stays in place. and ive heard that having a lightweight flywheel and the underdrive pulley with a stg 3 clutch is kinda _____y to drive is that true?

im no genious but since this is everything i went through ill post my thoughts/experience

i too tried to be a tough guy and had a buddy solder all the wires to avoid the pnp harness. i then had to tow my car to hin cuz the car would do the exact same thing (idle, light etc) and thought it was the emanage so i sent it in, only to be told that it worked fine. then had my buddy resolder the ecu wires and plugged in the harness and the car ran fine.
while driving the car, it would not hold boost well.
when i took it to get tuned, the shop told me the internal wg was crap and that it would not shut all the way, hence y i would run at a wopping 5psi. so i had this done

was told the dump tube would outlive the manifold because of the material.
i was also driving one day on the hwy when i heard a loud gasp of air and car turned off, so after i cleaned myself i got on the shoulder to check what i broke. luckily it was just an intercooler pipe that came loose because of the cheap wormgear (stuff u tighten to keep the couplings on the pipe)
i have also gone through 2 couplings because they r so cheap. think the difference between buying toilet paper for 49 cents vs $1
basically i like the turbo itself for now, but it wont do for the amount of power i want, but it is nice for the tq i want.
the kit itself is pretty cheap and i dont mean inexpensive, there is a difference.
if i could do it again, i would go w/ dezod
also the black box takes care of the massive partial throttle problem. for example while doing 75 im good, but in a slight incline it goest to partial boost and the black box is suppose to make it so u dont put ur head through the windshield or get massive whiplash, or so im told. apparently the emanage ultimate solves that problem too, but my tuner is lazy :D
k, im done for now
